active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Providing physical therapy
services in a K-12 school setting in West Richland, WA, this
contract role focuses on delivering mostly one-on-one sessions to
approximately 24 students across all grade levels. The position
requires a dynamic professional skilled in both therapy and
evaluations to support student progress and educational goals.
Responsibilities include conducting direct therapy sessions,
administering evaluations, and performing comprehensive indirect
tasks such as writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and
creating accommodation plans. The role also involves Medicaid
billing and collaborating closely with educators, where the teacher
typically acts as the case manager. While case management is
occasionally part of the role, teamwork and clear communication
with school staff are paramount. The district is not primarily
transient, though there is some movement among students. Key
Qualifications and Experience: Licensed Physical Therapist with
experience in school-based pediatric therapy Proficiency in
conducting 1:1 therapy sessions and group interventions when needed
Skilled in performing evaluations to assess students physical
therapy needs Experience with Medicaid billing procedures within a
school setting Ability to develop IEPs and accommodation
programming in compliance with educational standards Strong
collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary
teams Experience working with K-12 students inclusive of all grade
levels Understanding of case management and supporting transient
student populations is a plus Location: West Richland, Washington
Job Type: Contract position within a school environment This
