Job Description:
As a key member of the Engineering & Maintenance department at
Waste Management, Inc., the Engineer III is tasked with designing,
developing, and implementing innovative solutions in waste
management processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability. The
role focuses on project management, technical problem solving, and
advancing our waste treatment and renewable energy capabilities
using the latest in technology and engineering principles. The
Engineer III will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure
that projects align with our corporate environmental goals and meet
all regulatory compliance standards. Design and oversee
implementation of waste management systems focusing on innovation
and sustainability. Lead project teams through the lifecycle of
product development from concept to deployment. Analyze and improve
existing waste treatment processes to enhance efficiency and
compliance with environmental regulations. Develop project budgets,
timelines, and specifications; ensure projects stay within the
designated constraints. Collaborate with environmental scientists,
planners, hazardous waste technicians, and other professionals to
address environmental issues. Prepare and present detailed reports
and findings to senior management. Advanced knowledge of
environmental engineering practices and principles. Proficiency
with CAD software and project management tools. Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills. Adept at technical writing and
preparing clear and concise documentation. Excellent leadership
capabilities and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional
Engineer (PE) license preferred. Project Management Professional
(PMP) certification is advantageous.
