Harborview Medical Center has a leadership opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3/ANM) for the inpatient unit, Acute Psychiatry.All across UW Medicine, our employees collaborate to perform the highest quality work with integrity and compassion and to create a respectful, welcoming environment where every patient, family, student and colleague is valued and honored.Inpatient Psychiatry at Harborview Medical Center is a short-term program utilizing evidence, consensus or best-practice treatment approaches within a secure and safe therapeutic environment. Inpatient psychiatric care is available at Harborview to people who need immediate and intensive mental health care. Staffed by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, pharmacists, recreational therapists and occupational therapists and peer support specialists, we offer both voluntary and involuntary admissions for people experiencing a broad range of severe and persistent psychotic and mood disorders, substance use disorders and personality disorders.SHIFT100% Full Time Employment (40 hours per week), variable evenings and nightsWhat are ANM's do:Matrix responsibilities to both the Unit Manager and Clinical Director Inpatient PsychiatryDelegates and prioritizes work to insure safe nursing practice for patients in our careDecides and use independent judgment to take action on routine and complex staffing issues, and workflow issuesCollaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of careREQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: :Unrestricted/Unencumber WA State RN licenseBSN degree in nursingPsychiatric nursing experienceDESIRABLE:Leadership experience such as charge nurse and preceptor experiencePsychiatric nursing specialty certificationApplicants considered for this position will be required to disclose if they are the subject of any substantiated findings or current investigations related to sexual misconduct at their current employment and past employment.
