Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN License Required
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Must-Have: - Minimum 3
years of experience in perioperative nursing practice - Proficiency
in the nursing process and established standards of care
Description: The Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative
nursing practice performs essential nursing activities in the
preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the
surgical experience. The RN will work to ensure the provision of
quality care for surgical patients. Utilization of the nursing
process and adherence to established standards of care, policies,
and procedures is essential. The perioperative nurse acts as the
patient advocate and is responsible for supervising personnel
assigned to them. The RN is accountable to the Unit Nurse Manager,
House Supervisor, or RN Team Leader. This position does not include
on-call responsibilities. Holiday coverage is required.
