Join our team and fulfill your calling. Apply today! Position Overview: This role involves taking x-rays of specific body parts for diagnostic purposes and supporting the imaging department. The focus will be on performing plain films and fluoroscopy. Key Responsibilities: Communicate procedures to patients to ensure they understand, providing relevant educational materials. Transport patients to and from clinical areas, confirming their identity in line with established protocols. Assist technologists in preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning them appropriately. Support technologists with filing, delivering, and retrieving patient reports and charts, ensuring films are matched to folders and reports are delivered to the appropriate units or physicians. Adhere to radiation safety protocols to prevent unnecessary exposure to patients. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual activity. Suggest updates or improvements to protocols as necessary. Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history. Verify that equipment is functioning properly and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment when necessary. Help maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas. May perform limited CT procedures in emergency situations when a CT Technologist is unavailable. Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Education: Completion of a Radiology Technology program. Experience: No prior experience required. Physical Requirements: Regularly standing and walking. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances. Regularly using hearing and speech for effective communication. Frequent auditory skills to detect body sounds and alarms from equipment. Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Regular reaching, gripping, and data entry on a keyboard. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Occasional visual tasks to identify and differentiate colors. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of legs and arms. Rarely kneeling or sitting.
