Hospitalist Job Details Location: Walla Walla, WA (Pacific Northwest healthcare jobs) Position Type: Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician Start Date: March 16, 2026 End Date: August 31, 2026 Assignment Length: 24 weeks Shifts: Day shifts, Tuesday to Tuesday (7am–7pm), 1–2 weeks per month Shift Duration: 12 hours Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,910 – $5,260 Patient Encounters per Shift: 10–15 Open ICU: Yes (vent management required) Trauma Level: Level 3 hospital Hospitalist Physician Qualifications Board Certification as a Hospitalist Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) Active Washington state medical license (WA physician jobs preferred) Current ACLS certification Minimum 1 year of recent hospitalist experience Case logs with at least 15 vent management cases in the past 24 months (required for ICU privileges) Proficiency in EKG interpretation and management of non-invasive/invasive ventilation Estimated credentialing: 60–90 days Hospitalist Job Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients, including ICU management Manage acute and chronic ventilation cases (vent management required) Perform non-invasive ventilation management and arterial line placement (preferred) Interpret EKGs and cardiac stress tests (preferred) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and utilize 24/7 support services (anesthesia, surgery, radiology, laboratory) Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters Discover the advantages of working as a locum tenens hospitalist in Walla Walla, WA—a region known for its outdoor recreation, award-winning wineries, and welcoming community.
