Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm, Days Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date:
04/13/2026 Job Description: Provides health care services by
applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs
radiographic and computed tomography procedures, producing images
for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment and maintains a demeanor
complementary to medical ethics, providing appropriate patient care
and recognizing conditions essential for successful procedure
completion. Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic radiography
procedures. Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure
and assures information is documented for use by a licensed
practitioner. Prepares patient for procedures; provides
instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and
minimize anxiety. Selects and operates radiography equipment and
associated devices to achieve desired results. Positions patient
and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest,
respecting patient ability and comfort. Determines radiographic
technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patient and
others. Operates Computed Tomographic equipment and accessories,
selects appropriate program for desired protocol. Maintains
knowledge of and observes Universal precautions, provides patient
education, and assists in maintaining records. Participates in the
department’s quality assessment and improvement plan, and may be
responsible for control of inventory and purchase of supplies.
Requirements: Completion of formal Radiologic Technology accredited
program. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists in radiography and CT, or equivalent required by
state of Oregon. Licensed in the State of Oregon as Radiologic
Technologist/CT Technologist. Current BLS certification. Bilingual
and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with
culturally diverse population desired.
