Yakima Administration, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Location Yakima Administration, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic City Yakima Employment duration: Full time Exempt Status: Exempt The benefits and leave analyst position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.). The analyst position serves as the liaison between third party administrators, management staff, Quality, Human Resources, and Payroll. Works directly with benefits leadership, HR team, HRIS, employees, managers, and absence management vendors to ensure effective case management and compliance, while supporting initiatives to enhance benefits and leave management programs and policies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's Degree will substitute for 2 years of relevant experience. Experience: 3 years' experience in a professional human resources or related role. Experience with benefits administration and leave management preferred. Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Washington State driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefit Professional preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Excellent organization, prioritization, and customer service skills to effectively follow-up on complex and detailed work activities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments, strong analytical/conceptual abilities and excellent computer skills (MS Office suite), professional communication, and business relationship-building skills. Strong attention to detail, ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization, excellent time management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, and procedures related to Human Resources and Benefits Administration, as well as relevant state and federal regulations required with a focus on leave laws, workers compensation, and ADA. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to recognize problems and identify solutions must have a sense of urgency, ability to work under pressure and be results-focused. Experience using Third Party Administrator portals (preferred) & HRIS systems, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to analyze problems, and utilize appropriate resources to solve problems.
