Job Description:
Position is eligible for Employee Referral Program. Job Summary:
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work
routine for self and others. With oversight and guidance from
higher levels, proactively assures the Company's environmental
compliance with all applicable requirements and recommends programs
and projects for continual compliance. Provides guidance and
technical assistance to facilities and operations for environmental
permitting and compliance in managing waste, water, air emissions,
natural and cultural resources, wildlife, and/or land. Prepares and
submits environmental reports and permit applications to federal,
state, and local agencies. Provides environmental regulatory
assistance, supports and provides some direction on construction
projects and risk assessments, permit negotiations, property
management and remediation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's
Degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering or
science field such as biology, geology, hydrology, chemistry, or
natural resources management
Environmental Specialist II: Two years' experience in an
environmental field related to waste and/or water environmental
compliance management, hazardous material transportation, SPCC
plans, NEPA review, wildlife and natural resources management and
permitting, underground storage tank regulation and/or
environmental remediation, and/or air emissions permitting and
compliance.
Environmental Specialist III: Four years' experience in an
environmental field related to waste and/or water environmental
compliance management, hazardous material transportation, SPCC
plans, NEPA review, wildlife and natural resources management and
permitting, underground storage tank regulation and/or
environmental remediation, and/or air emissions permitting and
compliance. Preferred Qualifications --- Experience performing
related duties in the energy industry.
--- Prior experience with software used in monitoring and reporting
environmental data for compliance
--- Upholds integrity at the highest level.
--- Excellent human relations skills in dealing with associates and
ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
--- Strong oral and written communication skills with high
proficiency in writing/grammar.
--- Demonstrated analytical skills, along with attention to
detail
--- A self-starter with a desire to learn and grow
professionally.
--- Must demonstrate ability to positively interact with internal
stakeholders in field and office situations and thoughtfully seek
out agency stakeholders.
--- Strong focus on meeting customer environmental compliance needs
(ie. operations, facilities, and management)
--- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
--- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
--- Working knowledge of software used in monitoring and reporting
environmental data for compliance. Additional Information --- Must
take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs,
and data from cyber-attack,
damage or unauthorized access.
--- Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
--- Requires travel: Moderate (up to 25%) with periodic overnight
stays. Additional Information --- Must be legally authorized to
work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
