Description Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a
Chemotherapy Scheduler KC (Full time, Days) to join our growing
Kadlec Clinic Hematology and Oncology located in Kennewick,

system. Minimum Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or GED from an accredited educational
institution
- 2 years of medical office experience
- Medical Terminology experience Duties include, but are not
limited to, the following: Under the general direction of the
Practice Administrator/Manager, schedules follow-up visits,
diagnostic testing and procedures, surgeries at hospital and
ambulatory surgery center, hospital procedures and hospital
admission/emergency room treatment. Performs all duties related to
scheduling including collecting prior authorizations. Coordinating
with the OR and surgery center; and assisting with scheduling and
collecting pre-admission and pre-clearance requirements.

- Understand, embrace, and instill the Kadlec Clinic Guiding
Principles.
- Schedule patient appointments by telephone or when patient is
in office. Types initial (unverified) patient demographics into the
computer system.
- Schedule same day visits for patients by coordinating insurance
verification/eligibility with the appropriate reimbursement
specialist and obtaining medical record chart and required
documentation, e.g., fee ticket.
- Meet with patients who have been identified for surgery to
provide an overview of the process. This meeting would include
discussing dates for surgery, scheduling pre-op appointment and
completing any necessary paperwork. Answers any surgery scheduling
questions by telephone.
- Manage patient surgery checklist to ensure all appropriate
documentation, prior appointments and any necessary clearances have
been collected.
- Coordinate the perioperative appointment schedule at the
appropriate location, as applicable.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and financial
obligations for the appropriate procedure/surgery, as
applicable.
- Monitor provider surgery schedule to ensure accuracy for
surgery length and timeliness, utilization as well as any assists
