For more than 60 years, we've produced innovative, inventive products that make life better for our customers and their customers.Job Description SummaryDemand Planning Analyst is an integral player of LW's supply chain planning team, responsible for driving excellence in demand planning for multiple product lines across business units with high to medium complexity, including market inputs, statistical forecasting, incorporating commercial intelligence, product lifecycle management, and continuous improvement analysis. LW seeks a professional who can handle large sets of data and collaborate with others to create robust forecasts, enabling effective demand planning and execution throughout the supply chain. This role will collaborate with CommercialNational Account Managers, Finance, Supply Planning, driving business initiatives and transforming SAP IBP in coordination with IT.Job DescriptionCreate and maintain all stages of the demand plan - inception to discontinuity.Handle sales history for forecast accuracy and promotional demand.Maintain data relative to demand forecasting including hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand shaping and model parameters.Facilitate monthly Demand meetings with BU Owners, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain partnersReview and maintain statistical algorithms within Legacy Tool, adjusting historical patterns and future projections as needed & in SAP IBP (future state)Participate in integrated business planning to implement SAP IBP.Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Develop and maintain trended demand planning KPIs/metrics, including robust forecast accuracy and bias measures across multiple time lagsLeverage best-in-class process and strategy to ensure the DP team is developing a rolling 18-month consensus forecast by using insights such as promotional plans, distribution lane realignments, shipment history, competitive and marketing plans.Summarize and report key forecast changes and concise drivers of forecast accuracy performance to Supply Chain LeadershipMeasure forecasting errors using KPIs and variance reporting and performing root cause analysis to help supplement the preparation of executive summary.Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational inefficiencies.Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions - new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization.Scope:The Demand Planner manages the overall demand signal for a specified Business Unit.Maintenance of the demand planning system, building the relationship with the Sales team, and driving continuous improvements supporting the demand planning deliverables in the weekly/monthly processesBasic & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Operations, related field preferredAPICS, CPIM, CSCP certification a plusSkills and Experience: 7+ years of experience working with a large national manufacturer / distributor in key supply chain topics like Demand, Inventory, Distribution, and Production is strongly preferred.Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge.Familiarity with varying statistical algorithms (Fourier/Multiple Linear Regression/etc) and statistical modeling principles preferred.Understanding of SAP and experience in software implementation & testing preferred.Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.Preferred 5-7+ years consumer products forecasting and/or supply chain operations experience.Experience in and/or exposure to S processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning.Strong working knowledge & proven skills with Microsoft applications.Strong collaboration and influence management skills as evident by cross functional alignment and delivery of initiatives.Physical Environment/Demands:Up to 20% travel may be required, especially during onboarding processMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminalIncumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workdayIndustry-Competitive BenefitsCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
