Job Description:
Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Biomedical Technician to join
our team in a full-time variable shift position.PurposeThe
Biomedical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper
installation and functioning of dialysis machines and associated
equipment; troubleshooting equipment problems and performing
repairs; and for performing other duties related to the safe and
effective operation of equipment. These duties may be performed at
NKC, affiliates, designated hospitals, or home locations. This
position is also responsible for performing relief and/or project
duties, when required.Shift: Full-time, 40 hours, variable shift.
Occasionally work on-call and weekends.The ideal candidate
will:Have prior work experience in an industrial/dialysis/medical
settingBe able to use common hand tools and small power
equipmentHave good verbal and written communication skillsPossess
computer literacy with the ability to navigate common operating
systems such as Microsoft OfficeBe able to work a flexible schedule
including nights, weekends, and holidaysRequired
qualificationsProof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced
degree)Possess a valid Washington State driver license, car
insurance and access to a reliable vehicleAcquire Certified
Biomedical Nephrology Technologist (CBNT) or Certified Hemodialysis
Bio-Medical Technician (CHBT) within the first 18 months of service
from date of hirePreferred qualifications1-2 years of experience in
troubleshootingEquipment calibration in the electronics fieldAA
Degree in Electronics with demonstrated skills in digital and
analog technologies, or equivalent trainingCertified Biomedical
Nephrology Technologist (CBNT) or Certified Hemodialysis
